Sorted by price, lowest first. Prices from the booking platform; the price at checkout is the one that counts.

Visitors at the entrance of the Grand Egyptian Museum

We found no official Grand Egyptian Museum discount or promo code. The museum sets the ticket price on its official website, and sites promising “discount” tickets are a known scam (Egyptian Streets, 2026). There are real ways to pay less, though.

In short

  • No official promo code that we could find (October 2026).
  • Students and children: EGP 920; foreign residents: EGP 920.
  • Children under 6 and visitors with disabilities enter free.
  • “Discount ticket” sites are a red flag.

Is there a promo code?

Not on the museum’s own ticket website, as far as we could see in October 2026. Prices for each visitor category are set by the museum, and from 1 November 2026 the foreign adult ticket costs EGP 1,830 (Egypt Independent).

How can you pay less for the Grand Egyptian Museum?

  1. Students: EGP 920 with a valid student ID.
  2. Children: under 6 free (Enterprise, 2025); Arab and foreign children EGP 920.
  3. Residents of Egypt: foreign residents pay EGP 920.
  4. Visitors with disabilities: visitors with disabilities are admitted free (Enterprise, 2025).
  5. Compare tours properly: a cheap tour without entry can cost more than one with it. Our tours comparison shows which include the ticket.

Bring ID for any discounted or free ticket: the museum checks eligibility (GEM ticketing site).

What are the cheapest guided options?

The Book this visit section above lists the lowest-priced options we found, sorted by price. Check the entry line on each card before you compare.

Questions people ask

Is there a Grand Egyptian Museum promo code?

We found no official promo or discount code on the museum's ticket website in October 2026. Be wary of sites that promise discounted tickets: the museum has warned about fake ticket websites.

How can I pay less for the Grand Egyptian Museum?

Use the right category: students and children pay EGP 920 instead of EGP 1,830, foreign residents pay EGP 920, and children under 6 enter free.

Are discounted tickets on other websites real?

The museum sets the ticket price. A site offering cheaper entry than the official rate is a warning sign. In May 2026 the museum’s CEO warned about fake ticket websites and social media pages, saying more than 50 had been shut down.
